To Whom It May Concern,
It has been brought to my attention that an upcoming audit for William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center is beginning on January 21st.
For this reason, I’m making you aware that January 6th defendants are being held in solitary confinement during pretrial, rendering it very hard to work in their cases. They’re being treated like maximum security inmates and have not been convicted any crime. They could very easily be given a very small unit and not 22/2. This is egregiously wrong for people that need to work on their case. Severe punishment does not coincide with safety standards. There must be another way. They need more access to work on their case. They should not be in solitary confinement.
This is regarding William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center. Please address as part of the audit.
